International Day of Peace, “Let’s act for a peaceful world”.

The International Day of Peace, celebrated every year on September 21, was established by Resolution 36/67 of the United Nations General Assembly in 1981, to promote peace in the world.

In 2025, this day marks an opportunity to reflect on ways of strengthening peace, resolving conflict and promoting justice and equality.

This year’s theme is “Acting for a peaceful world”, and invites us to mobilize against violence, hatred, discrimination and inequality, to practice respect and embrace the diversity of our world.

It is an encouragement to focus on the need to promote peaceful coexistence and cooperation, to build peaceful, inclusive and prosperous societies.

CENSAD is fully committed to the noble goal of promoting peace in the world, which lies at the very heart of the United Nations Charter, and wishes to see more lasting peace and stability throughout its member states.
