Every year, CEN-SAD reaffirms its commitment to the fight against breast cancer. The organization encourages everyone to break the silence surrounding this disease by talking about it with their loved ones, and particularly stresses the importance of raising women’s awareness of the fact that early detection remains the best weapon in the fight against it.
CEN-SAD’s campaign for this cause illustrates the priority action that should be taken by all Member States: promoting screening, guaranteeing free access to healthcare and offering effective treatment. Indeed, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure constitute the essential pathway we wish all women to follow, in order to reduce the incidence of serious cases, while awaiting even more advanced medical solutions thanks to research.
